A Poem Is...
I asked my classes to finish this sentence. It usually begins with "Short" or "About Love." It's a good way to start. When we talk about love, we talk about what we know. What's been shown us in the past. The love we've seen, heard, read about. Sometimes that's legitimate love and sometimes it's often very "the love you get is the love you give."

We'll be talking about "CHANGE" and what it means. While we do that, we'll also be addressing this whole question of "What is Poetry?"
Are we a lost generation?
Even though it's fun, we'll be learning a lot!
Change is tough. We learn very early that change often accompanies a lot of emotions. Below, I'd like you to think about this topic and fill in this poetry form. Think about how you've changed in your life. Did it make you better? Did it lead you somewhere you never thought you would be?
